The Library Page

Are you wondering what happened to our resources, that is our tangible resources?  In particular, those hard cover books that used to be in the cabinet that you could look at and borrow?  (You might even be wondering where are the cabinets?)  I believe it was called The Lending Library.    Well, this post is explaining our new procedures regarding the existing collection of hard cover books and how you may continue to take them out on loan.  Also, towards the end of the post, there are two other announcements that may be of interest to you.

The Newsletters Page

You may have noticed, along the right hand column of our website, the word ‘Categories’.  Categories on a website helps the reader find information on that website.  The writer has taken the posts that they have written and organized them according to topic to help the reader navigate.   You see one such category on this site called About the Pages.  This blog post is explaining the Page called Newsletters.   Continue reading “The Newsletters Page”

October with Ann Hood / Reservations Available

If there was ever consensus on anything, the whole of the Guild’s membership agreed that while our new space is lovely with advantages of bright lights, windows, and updated technology, the arrangement we had of seats and tables for our September gathering was hot, uncomfortable, and undesirable.  The leadership of the Guild also agrees.  Therefore, here is how we are moving forward for our October Program.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, AN ANNOUNCEMENT YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS!

It was early June
We were celebrating the end of our season
Happy to be on vacation
to be without rhyme or reason

Our new website had just been published
Time to sit back
letting cyberspace catch up
where we were lax

“The Ramada is closing,
The Ramada is CLOSING,”
we were told on Ravelry.
Was it a rumor, was it true?

What about the programming,
Yarn Fest and Auction
It was all set,
Oh, what to do?

Panic, fear
We went into a state
phone calls a-plenty
to set up some dates

Here and there
what would be best?
How could we match
what we had already arranged?

Well, roses are red
Violets are blue
And we, indeed
have some news for YOU

As we knit our cables
And block our lace . . .
We are here to inform,
Our new home
is the Hyatt Place!
