Ann Hood, distinguished and award-winning author, will be presenting at the Buffalo Knitting Guild at our October 2016 meeting. We are so excited to bring this distinguished author to the Guild!
Consider picking up one of Ann’s knitting themed books and read it! In her knitting books are patterns. Choose one of those patterns, knit it up to have it ready for the October meeting! We will display all of our finished knits from her resources for Ann when she is with us to speak at our October meeting.

HOW DOES YOUR KNITTING GROW?

Our Guild President and Vice President introduce the theme “Grow” for this year’s Knitting Guild Season with a program to help you grow your skills through photography and technology. We’ll learn tonight how to photograph our knits beautifully and stylishly, just like the top designers do! And we’ll go on an interactive journey into new technology that the Guild will be incorporating this season. Plus get ready to meet your fellow Guild members and learn something about them you might not otherwise know!
Year Long Knit-Along Introduction Sue Yarborough will be joining us this to start a fun KAL that will grow in size AND grow your skill level all year long! It is the Martin Storey Afghan from Rowan Yarns. Sue will be sharing her knowledge and techniques throughout the year. The patterns will be available on our website. Fall Charity Project Introduction Erin of Embraceable Ewe Yarn Shop will be introducing the ‘Knitting Knockers’ Project. This is our Fall charity knitting project and is organized in conjunction with the work of the Girl Scouts of America.

Acclaimed Author Ann Hood, who often says “knitting saved my life,” joins us for a special evening to discuss the impact of knitting on writers and writing. Ann will take us on her own personal journey as we share and learn about the ways knitting touches our lives.

No worries if you don’t own any Ann Hood books. ‘Talking Leaves’ will be at this event selling Ann’s books – cash and credit cards will be accepted. To round out the night, our very own Jenna Myer will have her yarn truck and wonderful yarns available for sale, too. SPRING CHARITY KNITTING
Spring Charity Knitting Start the new year off with a giving heart that includes knitting for our furry friends in need. Tonight is the night to knit for the SPCA of Erie County. We will be knitting during the meeting for this charity.
